Born and raised in Gaston County, Lisa earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts & Art Education Degrees from Appalachian State University and later continued to study Art at both the University of South Carolina & Savannah College of Art & Design.  Her teaching career began in Darlington, South Carolina in 1980 and continued throughout public schools in the Carolinas until she recently retired after 35 years of teaching.
